Cristina Garrido
La investigación artística de Cristina Garrido (1986) se trata del valor culturalmente asignado a los objetos; en gran medida, aquellos objetos clasificados como arte. Su producción, a través de gestos específicos, repetitivos y meta-referenciales, se centra en la circulación de estos objetos, el estudio de la exposición, así como la práctica curatorial.
Ha sido galardonada con el premio Generación 2015 Proyectos de Arte Fundación Montemadrid y, recientemente, ha obtenido la Beca Fundación Botín de Artes Plásticas (2017-2018) y el Premio ARCO para jóvenes artistas (2018). Su trabajo ha sido expuesto internacionalmente, incluyendo exposiciones en el British Museum, Londres; Centro Botín, Santander; Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, Móstoles; Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC), Sevilla; CASS Sculpture Foundation, West Sussex; Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales, La Habana; Taxispalais Kunsthalle Tirol, Innsbruck; SESC Sorocaba; Sorocaba/ São Paulo; La Casa Encendida, Madrid; Lugar a dudas, Cali; entre otros.
